TEAM ABC ANNOUNCES NEWEST SPONSOR
Adidas Outdoors is committed to the skills and life lessons obtained through climbing
Boulder, CO, April 2013 – Team ABC is proud to announce Adidas Outdoors as its’ newest team sponsor. They will provide the team with competition uniforms. Their support will also assist in providing new opportunities for the accomplished team athletes and enable them to participate in highly distinguished competitions throughout the world.
Diane Kay, Marketing Manager from Adidas Outdoors stated, “We are committed to working with and supporting our up and coming young athletes on Team ABC. Adidas Outdoors believes in the life lessons that climbing in general and climbing competitions specifically teach the young athletes. For an athlete of any age to try hard at a climb/project, fail and get up and try hard again is a skill that will benefit them throughout their whole life. The camaraderie and normalness of athletes cheering on their own competitors is another step in forming their character as they grow older. They will be strong contributors on any team they participate on and just as importantly, strong as individuals.”

The ABC Kids Climbing program and Team ABC was founded in 2004 by Robyn Raboutou, a world class climber who had the vision of teaching the next generation of climbers. Robyn is the most titled female climber in the world. She has won the US Championship five times and is the winner of four World Cup Titles. ABC stands for agility, balance and coordination. The ABC program is based around inspiring confidence and self-esteem in children as young as two which are essential skills and building blocks of all athletics. Team ABC currently trains at the ABC Climbing gym and facility in Boulder, Colorado which is the only dedicated youth facility in the world. They were recently crowned USA Climbing’ 2013 Youth Team National Champions. Robyn’s teaching and coaching philosophy has created this team of young athletes who exemplify the values of dedication, professionalism and humility whether climbing up on the Flatirons for fun or competing at a National championship.
